Curriculum: The I-DEA Online Catalog offer wide range of curriculum and materials.
Allotment: As the teaching parent, you choose the curriculum and materials that best meet your child’s needs. State funds are provided to I-DEA for each enrolled student. I-DEA establishes an allotment for the primary purpose of providing quality research-based curriculum and materials that support student learning.
Online Curriculum Catalog: Curricular materials are ordered through our online catalog, shipped directly to your home, and deducted from your allotment.
Guided Instruction: A portion of allotment funds may be used towards guided instruction in approved elective courses, such as music and dance lessons, or participation in recreational sports and physical fitness activities. In a traditional public school, classes such as PE, Music and Art are provided. Guided Instruction allows our families access to these same instructional opportunities.
Online Resources are provided for each student.
You provide individualized instruction to meet your child’s needs.
As the teaching parent, you can tailor your instruction and assessment to meet your child’s learning styles, academic level and interests.
Content Standards: All I-DEA courses are based on the Idaho State Content standards. Standards by grade level and subjects are provided by I-DEA and show what specific skills are to be taught in each grade for each subject area.
College credit – Allotment funds may be used to seek reimbursement for approved college credits for eligible high school Juniors and Seniors, through which they may receive dual credit for both high school and college. Courses are available in a classroom format on the college campus, or there are online options to maximize flexibility in scheduling.
You and your child are supported by caring experienced teachers.
Parents and certified teachers work together to provide the most effective educational experience for each student. Your contact teacher is available to assist you in the selection of curriculum and educational resources to best meet the needs and learning style of each child.
Educational Workshops and Support - I-DEA teachers provide live and virtual workshops for students and parents. The teachers are also available to assist families based on their needs.
